Fancy Nancy and Other Story Books

Fancy Nancy and Other Story Books will be at Mitchell Auditorium at St Scholastica on Tuesday, February 28 at 12:30 pm. This is an all-new musical revue featuring mini-musicals based on best-selling children's books and is appropriate for grades K-4. Thanks to Legacy funding GMPL has 20 FREE tickets available at the library on a first come, first serve basis.

 

LOLLIPOP CONCERT

The Library has 20 FREE tickets! The DSSO (Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra) Youth Orchestras present the Lollipop Concert on Sunday, Februrary 12, 2012 at 3:00 pm at The DECC's Symphony Hall. This concert is by kids, for kids! Our 20 tickets are available at the Library. Those receiving free admission tickets are asked to take a survey which will help us continue to provide future Legacy programs.

America's Star Libraries 2011

The Grand Marais Public Library has recieved star ratings in Library Journal's fourth national public library rating index. Only 262 out of 7,513 public libraries which qualified for the evaluation received star ratings! The ratings index evaluates libraries on percapita visits, circulation, program attendance and Internet computer usage and are categorized in one of nine peer groups based on total expenditures. Out of the eight Minnesota libraries to receive this recognition, Grand Marais Pubic Library had the highest overall score!

 

Pre-School Snowflake Storytime

Bring your pre-schooler for a delightful half hour story time at the library. Linger afterward while the kids play with the dollhouse or snuggle with a stuffed animal in the tent and look at books.
