- The after-hours book return is located at the west end of the building.
- Renew online through "My Account" or call to renew if you can't get to the library.
Who May Use the Library?
- Residents of Grand Marais and Cook County.
- Visitors to the area.Small children should be accompanied by an adult. Permanent residents Seasonal property owners Seasonal renters Campground visitors Cardholders from other Minnesota libraries.
- Out of state visitors who pay a $5.00 fee.
Loan Periods
- Books, periodicals, cassettes and CDs check out for 4 weeks.
- New books check out for 2 weeks.
- Video cassettes and DVDs check out for 7 days.
Overdue Fines
- .20 per item, per day for adult materials.
- .10 per item, per day for children's materials.
- $2.00 per day, per video.
Materials not returned within 30 days of the first overdue notice are considered lost, and the borrower will be sent a bill for the cost of replacement.
Suspension of Privileges
Borrowers are blocked when they owe $3.00 or have 3 overdue items.
When accounts are settled, all privileges are cheerfully restored.
Volunteer work can be arranged to settle fines.
